To rent a scooter, you only need a regular driver’s license.
May I rent a scooter for less than one day?
Yes, we have four-hour rentals, from 9 AM to 1 PM, and 2 PM to 6 PM.
Is a scooter a good form of transportation in San Miguel?
It is the perfect way to get around town. You can cover so much more ground than walking. They are easy to ride, easy to park and have lots of storage. Do know that the cobblestone streets are rough.
May I ride my scooter out of town?
You are only allowed to ride them out of town only a short distance, but not on highways.
Can two people share one scooter?
Yes, two people can ride on one scooter quite comfortably.
How methods of payment do you accept for rentals:
Cash (USD or pesos), Paypal and credit cards.
How do I reserve a scooter:
A 50% security deposit is required to reserve your bike. Wewe have a first come/first served policy. Our fleet is relatively small and it's not unusual to have all of the units out on rental.
How far can my scooter rental go on a tank of gas?
Our scooters can go approximately 150km on a full tank of gas. It is strongly recommended that you refuel when you have a 1/4 tank of gas left.
What type of scooters can I rent?
We rent Hondas and Suzukis. They are 125cc and are pretty much equal machines. They all have plenty of storage and are easy to ride. There is no clutch or shifter. Just turn the throttle and go.
If I return my scooter before the return time, can I get a refund for the unused time?
For longer rentals, if the scooter is returned early, you will be partially refunded the unused time. Note that any discounts you received for longer term rental will be void. As an example, if you rented for 1 month, but cancelled after two weeks, you will be charged at our weekly rate.
How old do I have to be in order to rent a scooter?
All renters must be at least 25 years old.
Is it possible to I extend my rental time?
If the scooter is still available, we will be happy to extend your rental, depending on availability. The only way to guarantee a scooter for a given time period is to pay in advance for the entire time.
What happens if I damage my rental scooter?
If you damage your scooter, you will be charged for the repair estimate as done by a qualified repair shop in San Miguel.
